Privacy policy

JMSURFHOST (JMSURF TECHNOLOGIES) processes personal data in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.

What we collect: your name, email, phone number, address and company details; billing and M-Pesa payment references; technical logs needed to run your services.

Why: to provide and bill your services, register domains (registrant data is shared with KeNIC and other registries as required), send service and payment notices by email and SMS, prevent fraud and meet legal duties.

Sharing: only with providers needed to deliver the service (domain registries/registrars, payment processing via JMSURF PAY and Paystack, tax invoices via JMSURF Tax to the Kenya Revenue Authority, SMS delivery via JMSURF SMS, data-centre providers) and authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell your data.

Retention: account and billing records are kept for 7 years for tax purposes; service data is deleted after a service ends, subject to backup cycles.
